Cosy up with our warm and hearty Pea and Ham soup this winter. This pea soup is not only nutritious and full of vitamins but is also easy and quick dinner recipe. It is one of our favorite comfort food in this cold weather. Serve it with a slice of toasted bread or croutons and top it with some cream. Created with love from Birds Eye.

Ingredients

carrot (chopped)
1 
onion (chopped)
1⁄2 
leek (chopped)
2 
bay leaves

litres
 
vegetable stock

Birds Eye Peas
200 
g
 
cooked, chopped ham
salt
freshly ground black pepper
fresh parsley (chopped, to serve)

Preparation

  1. Cook the carrot, onion, leek and bay leaves in the vegetable stock until the vegetables are soft
  2. Add the peas and bring back to the boil
  3. Remove from the heat and blend in a liquidiser until smooth
  4. Reheat gently, add the ham and season to taste
  5. Serve sprinkled with parsley

Serving tip

Finish with a spoonful of cream and top with croutons
