You can’t beat this meat-free take on a great British classic. Complement our Birds Eye Green Cuisine Meat-Free Sausages with smooth creamy mash and sautéed apples and onions. Then plate it all up with a generous serving of delicious vegetable gravy and Birds Eye Garden Peas to round off this lip-smacking, mouthwatering meal at lunch or dinnertime.

Ingredients

potatoes

vegetable gravy

Preparation

  1. Peel and quarter the potatoes, then place in a pan of boiling water for 10-12 minutes, until tender to fork.
  2. Peel and slice the onion and apple.
  3. Meanwhile, cook the peas in lightly salted boiling water. Cook according to pack cooking instructions and drain. Season with salt and black pepper.
  4. Cook the vegetable gravy as per instructions on pack.
  5. Once done, remove the potatoes from the heat and drain the water. Mash until smooth and creamy.
  6. Sauté the onions and apple in a pan with a little oil until the onions are golden brown and the apple is soft.
  7. Cook Green Cuisine Meat-Free Sausages as per instructions on pack.
  8. Pour on the vegetable gravy and enjoy.
  9. Serve the sausages on top of the mash potatoes, onions and apple, with peas on the side.
